Kansas City has a lot of small treasures that didn’t know about prior to moving here, one of which being the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in the 18th and Vine District. This year they’re celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Negro Leagues. As part of that celebration, the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals wore throwback Negro League uniforms on Tuesday. Whew, they were fresh.

Powder Blues and Puffy Clouds
Had a little fun with double-exposures during our first Sunday day game. The weather was perfect and the Royals’ powder blues are one of my favorite uniforms in baseball so it only seemed right.

BASEBALL IS BACK!
I’m back for my second year as an LCC (Live Content Creator) for MLB, and feeling incredibly lucky that despite all of the current circumstances I’m not only able to cover baseball, but do so from the field. I’m getting tested at least bi-weekly throughout the season and will be crossing my fingers six feet away from the nearest human being, hoping that the players, coaches, and supporting casts at each ballpark can all stay healthy.
The Royals hosted the Chicago White Sox this past weekend, debuting new skipper Mike Matheny and a few new faces. Have I said yet how lucky I feel to be doing this?
Royals v White Sox, pt. II for USATSI
For the second time this season, I photographed a match-up between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox. It was an insane game that ended in a walk-off bunt/error in favor of the Royals. Whew.
Here are a few of my favorite images from the game.
World Series Batting Practice
The Kansas City Royals made their way back to the Fall Classic again this year, and I'm priviliged enough to make my way back as well. This year, I'll be running cards and photo editing for the New York Mets, as well as working for the marketing department at MLB, photographing advertisement partners. I was too impatient to wait for the games to get underway so today I drove out to the stadium to grab my credentials, mark my spot in the photo well and shoot a little bit of batting practice.
