Chiefs Super Bowl Victory Parade for USATSI

Two words: Corn Dog.

Congrats on a second Super Bowl victory, Kansas City Chiefs. Keep winning so I can keep photographing these super fun parades, please.

Chiefs Rookie Club at CCVI

Today the Kansas City Chiefs Rookie Club visited the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI). This school/organization is amazing and I have been privileged to work for them several times over the last year. What they do for children with disabilities is incredible. It's hard to leave one of their events without either a huge smile or a few tears. Today was no different, as the new Chiefs players (along with KC Wolf and a couple Chiefs cheerleaders) came to decorate cookies, sing Christmas songs, and give gifts to the kids.

Tennessee Titans at St. Louis Rams

I'm fortunate enough to have a wonderful mentor that spoils me from time-to-time.  Today, L.G. invited me along to St. Louis where he was shooting the Rams-Titans game for AP. I was there to run cards, but had some down time between trips to the photo workroom to shoot a little bit. It was my first time shooting football above the high school level and all I had with me was my D3 and an 80-200mm lens, but I'm pretty happy with what I came away with. After making a mental note of the lack of female photographers on the sideline, I left with more determination than ever to prove we ladies are capable and ready to be let into the world of sports photograhy. Hope y'all enjoy -
