The first sports assignment I shot for the Columbia Missourian was a 2013 matchup between the Universtiy of Missouri and Ole Miss at Mizzou Arena. I hadn't shot a game there since I graduated that year, so it was a real treat to be able to return to my alma mater (as an unbiased media member, of course) and shoot an exciting game between the Tigers and the Florida Gators in some nice afternoon light. It looked like Mizzou had it in the bag until a last second turnover gave Florida an easy layup for the win. Here are a few of my favorite images from my trip to CoMo:

Last night the Missouri Tigers played in my hometown of Dallas, Texas (well, technically they were in Arlington) and played one hell of a game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Having grown up in DFW, the Cowboys were always the belle of the ball, so getting the opportunity to shoot my alma mater in AT&T Stadium was incredible. The two teams certainly made the game interesting in the fourth quarter, but Mizzou came out on top, winning 41-31. I've been on an adrenaline high ever since Michael Sam sealed the game with his strip-sack in the final seconds of play, and I can't wait to share some of my images from the game with you. Enjoy!

SEC Championship

Who would have ever guessed that last year's 5-7 (2-6 SEC) Missouri Tigers would be this year's SEC East champions with only one loss to their name? I certainly wasn't a believer this preseason, but I'm quite pleased to have been proven wrong. This past weekend Mizzou punched their tickets to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, and I was fortunate enough to make the trip to capture their first ever trip to the Georgiadome to play for the SEC title.
