Iowa State fans turned Kansas City's Sprint Center into Hilton South for their matchup against the reigning Big XII tournament champions, KU. The Cyclones shocked the higher-seeded Jayhawks to take their second title in three years.

I had the privilege of photographing the 2019 Big XII Men's Basketball Tournament for the second year last weekend. Those four days at Sprint Center are among my favorite of the year. I grew up a Big XII sports fan, attended a (formerly) Big XII school and love watching how the rivalries unfold and the records don't seem to matter at the end of the season. This year's tournament was great fun and full of nail-biting moments. Here are some of my favorite photos from the first three rounds.

Saturday I wrapped up a four day, nine game marathon photographing the 2018 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament at the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City, Mo. for USA Today Sports Images.
